Necessary Documents to Submit With Your CDR Report
No matter how good CDR report
you write, you have to submit the required documents with it. Not doing so can
create problems for you; EA will not accept your application.
Apart from that, they will also consider
you careless if you do so. So, you must know what required documents you need
to submit with your CDR.
Taking this fact into account, we have
written this blog so that you can know about these documents and submit them
with your CDR for a successful assessment from Engineers Australia.
Documents
to be submitted with CDR report:
The following are the documents you need to
submit to Engineers Australia for the assessment of your application:
1. Latest
passport-sized photo
2. Your
current passport page with your photo and name on it
3. A
complete and official academic transcript
4. Academic
degree certificate
5. TOEFL
IBT or IELTS result
6. Most
updated resume
7. Name
change documentation (if applicable)
8. Professional
Registration Certificate (if applicable)
9. Documentary
proof of Employment for the last one year and employment as told in Career
Episodes you mention in the CDR report
Things
to remember when preparing a CDR:
1. The
three career episodes (CEs) you write are to show your skills as a Professional
Engineer, Engineering Associate, Engineering Technologist or Engineering
Manager. So, you’d better choose them after careful consideration. They will
help you show the competency elements for the engineering category you have
chosen to apply for.
2. Utilize
proper Australian English. Remember that your CDR report is a way to show your
communication skills to Engineers Australia. Take CDR writing help
if you feel nervous.
3. One
of the most important things when preparing a CDR is that EA doesn’t ask for
unwanted information. So, don’t give them extra information. For example, EA
doesn’t need to know the history of your company, the attainments of your team
or the market size of your past employer. EA is only interested in knowing what
you did and your personal contribution as an engineer.
4. You
have to be ready to substantiate all your claims with documents and proof. Show
the proof of those results that you are claiming to achieve in your report.
5. Engineers
Australia advises prescriptive writing style for Career Episodes. You’d better
write these episodes in the first person (in an active voice). For example, I
did that, I attained that and the like.
6. EA
asks you to write a Summary Statement in which you need to analyze how each
paragraph you wrote in your Career Episodes relates to the competency elements
for the Skilled Migration category you are planning to apply for. In other
words, you need to remain relevant at all times, or you will lose ‘analysis’
points.
7. As
per CDR help experts, you should
show your eligibility as an engineer by talking about technical challenges and problems
you had in a project. Tell EA about the losses your company would have had if
you had not been there. After that, let EA know about the recognitions and
awards you earned.
